CBE Birr and Aviator Payments in Ethiopia

What CBE Birr is, why a CBE transfer does not prove casino legitimacy, and how to verify an Aviator-related merchant or failed ETB transaction.

Direct answer

CBE Birr is part of the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia's digital-payment ecosystem, not an Aviator payment product. Historical betting sites advertised CBE Birr, but no current Ethiopian-licensed Aviator operator or authorised CBE Birr gaming merchant was confirmed in our July 2026 review.

#1 · Ethiopia app review

1xBet Aviator App

1xBet has some of the clearest first-party evidence that SPRIBE Aviator is present and mobile-ready, but we could not verify a current Ethiopian licence or a working ETB cashier. Treat this as a product-identification guide, not a recommendation to deposit.

#2 · Ethiopia app review

MelBet Aviator App

MelBet documents Aviator more clearly than most brands and offers a usable browser alternative to an app. Its Ethiopia case remains incomplete because ETB settlement and a current ELS licence were not independently verified.

#3 · Ethiopia app review

BetX Aviator App

BetX offers the best direct evidence in this set for an Ethiopia-localised Aviator product, but the decisive legal evidence is missing: we found no confirmed post-15 December 2025 licence. The app should not be promoted for deposits until ELS status is independently resolved.

#4 · Ethiopia app review

QwickBirr Aviator App

QwickBirr has clear Ethiopia-specific Aviator and ETB evidence, including a practice route. The missing element is decisive: we could not verify a current ELS licence after the nationwide revocation, so the app is not presented as an approved deposit option.

#5 · Ethiopia app review

1win Aviator App

1win appears to provide Aviator through mobile web and operator apps, but Ethiopia-specific ETB and bonus claims are dominated by marketing pages. With no current ELS licence verified, we rate the app evidence ahead of the local-market evidence.

Reviewed 17 July 2026. Payment availability can change; this page distinguishes first-party wallet facts from unverified casino integrations.

CBE Birr and CBE mobile banking are payment rails

Commercial Bank of Ethiopia offers digital banking and wallet transfers in ETB. These tools can move money to approved recipients, but they do not approve the underlying purpose of every payment and they do not license a casino.

A genuine CBE screen can still contain the details of an unauthorised or unrelated recipient. The operator, merchant and game must be checked separately.

Old CBE Birr casino instructions may be obsolete

Many pre-December 2025 Ethiopian operator pages quoted a CBE Birr minimum deposit and a short payment sequence. Those figures were operator-specific and can no longer be assumed to work.

The Ethiopian Lottery Service's December notice told licensed betting organisations to stop taking bets and providing deposit gateways, while financial institutions were directed to block associated movements.

Verify the recipient before approving

The name shown by CBE should match the legal operator or an identified payment processor in the operator's current terms. A personal bank account, frequently changing recipient, misspelled merchant or instruction to hide the payment purpose is a reason to stop.

  • Use only the official CBE app or website
  • Read the recipient name, not only the account number
  • Never share an OTP, password or PIN with casino support
  • Keep the bank reference and operator deposit reference

How to investigate an uncredited transfer

Check whether CBE marks the transfer completed, pending or reversed. Take a screenshot that does not expose credentials, note the exact time and reference, and compare it with the operator cashier history.

Do not send another deposit to 'unlock' the first. A request for an extra tax, verification or withdrawal-release payment to a personal account is a common scam pattern.

Withdrawal claims need fresh evidence

A generic statement that CBE Birr supports withdrawals is not enough. The current operator must identify the payout route, limits, fees, identity requirements and expected time in its own terms. No such offer should be presented as locally licensed without current ELS evidence.

Useful answers

Frequently asked questions

Is CBE Birr an official Aviator payment method?

No. SPRIBE does not maintain a CBE Birr cashier. An operator may integrate a payment method only where permitted and supported.

Can I trust a casino because it shows the CBE logo?

No. Check the operator's current legal status and the recipient shown in the official CBE payment flow.

Should I pay a personal CBE account supplied on Telegram?

No. Stop if the payment is not tied to a verified merchant and official operator cashier.

Are old CBE Birr limits still accurate?

Not necessarily. Bank tariffs and operator limits change, and previous betting integrations were affected by the December 2025 shutdown.
